Where it started
Edna is a passionate entrepreneur and owner of EdnasPalace and EdnasBeautyPalace. Her journey in the fashion and beauty industry began when she faced rejection from a cosmetology program due to her legal status, which led her to pursue her dreams in fashion. She enrolled in fashion school and discovered her love for the industry. Edna obtained several associate degrees from Dallas College, including Fashion Marketing, Fashion Design, and Technical Pattern Design.
Driven by her ambition to excel, Edna further pursued a Bachelor's degree in the Business of Fashion at LIM College, a prestigious institution in New York. During her time there, she developed a keen interest in sustainability and how the fashion industry can contribute to creating a better world.
After her educational endeavors, Edna returned to the beauty industry, where she is now certified as a skilled hairstylist and makeup professional. She understands the profound impact that fashion and beauty have on women's self-esteem and believes in empowering and strengthening women through her work.
Why she keeps going
At just 25 years old, Edna is a first gen Mexican-born entrepreneur who takes pride in her cultural heritage. She aspires to break down barriers, overcome challenges, and achieve success not only for herself but also for her family and community.
Edna's goals align with her passion for the fashion and beauty industry, as she aims to make a positive impact. Edna is a proud DACA recipient and she hopes to inspire other through her journey by representing her amigas in rooms where we have yet to take up space.
